Nathan Shafer will be producing a large scale augmented reality project at Exit Glacier in Seward, AK with Out North and Kenai Fjords National Park:

The Institute for Speculative Media was created in a cultural collaboration between Nathan Shafer, Out North and the Anchorage School District. Its first mission was an after school program in AR programming called the Augmented Inuksuit Project at Romig Middle School.

In summer 2012 Websites for Non-Profits, a flagship program for the Institute's new media lab at Out North will launch in collaboration with Highland Tech Charter.
